Players named all-state, all-league

Marion’s Jack Lanning and Lander Smith this week were named to second team all-state in class 2-1A baseball.

Teammates Mitch Norris and Cooper Bailey made the honorable mention all-state team.

Norris, Bailey, and Lanning were name first team all-league for the Heart of America league. Second team included Gavin Wasmuth, Lander Smith, Hayden Mendoza, Cole Smith, and Ian Ingels.

The all-league softball first team includes Marion’s Carley Wilhelm, Tessa Mendoza, and Breane Williams.

Erin Regnier and Natalie Sigel were named second teamers.

Kori Arnold was selected for the Central Kansas League’s second team in softball.

Teammates Keeley Brewer and Cassidy Bernhardt were honorable mentions.

In baseball, Dawson Boldt was named to the second team.
