Sterling
Pickens picked up four first-place medals April 5 when the PBHS track team competed in the Little River Central Kansas League meet at Sterling.
She won the 100-, 200-, 400-, and 800-meter races.
The boys team placed third overall and the girls team placed fourth.
“This was a very good first meet for the boy’s team and each of them found out what they need to improve throughout the year,” Coach Brian Lightner said. “For the girls team, every one of them was able to place and represented the school very well. They placed fourth out of five teams with only four girls participating.”
