Hillsboro native Pete Peters, 86, died Friday at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

He was born Aug. 3, 1928, to Herbert and Anna (Neufeld) Peters in Hillsboro. He married Joanne Rash Jan. 28, 1956, at Newton.

Survivors include: his wife; a daughter, Betty Schmidt of Gypsum; sisters, Randy Kessler of Moundridge, and Merilyn Peters of Plainville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with interment at Lehigh Mennonite Cemetery.
