Peabody Township Library announces new hours

Peabody Township Library board of directors announced this week that new hours have been selected for the Peabody library.

As of Thursday, the hours will be as follows:

Tuesday, 9 a.m. to noon and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Wednesday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Thursday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Friday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday, 9 a. m. to noon

The library will be closed Sunday and Monday.

“It is always hard to make changes,” said board member Linda Wetta, “but at least people will be informed about the time changes.”

Another change will be that library patrons will see a new face as they check out books and use the library resources. Former librarians Mildred Buller and Neva Dyck were honored Saturday for their library service with a retirement reception in the Anne Potter room at the library.

Roger Charles will take over as new librarian and will be on hand to assist patrons with their library needs.

For more information about the library, its hours, or services, call (620) 983-2502.
