Peabody Senior Center has had a busy month and is getting ready to wrap it up and look to July.

“We’ll be playing bingo this Thursday,” site manager Ruth Lott said. “And we’ll again be donating food to the local food bank. We’d like for everyone participating to bring a couple of non-perishable items and enjoy playing bingo with us. We always have a good time.”

The center will have its monthly business meeting Tuesday after its noon meal. Information on the center and issues that affect it will shared.

On June 26, the center will have an evening meal to make up for one that was canceled July 5.

“We need reservations so our cook, Kim Nellans, can have enough food prepared,” Lott said. “The two meals offered on the 26th will also be available to those who get frozen meals delivered to them at home.”

Peabody Senior Center, at 106 N. Walnut, is open daily during the week. Meals are available to anyone at a suggested price of $3.15 for those 60 and older and $5 for those younger than 60. Carry-out meals also are available daily between 10:45 and 11:15 a.m. For more information or to make a reservation, call (620) 983-2226.
