Peabody Senior Center

At 9 a.m. Monday, senior center board members will meet for the monthly board meeting. Anyone is welcome to attend.

On Tuesday, a representative from Schowalter Villa in Hesston will be present to speak about Medicare updates. He will address the group after lunch.

Following the speaker, the monthly senior center business meeting will take place. Both presentations are important for seniors center members.

Volunteers are always welcome at the center. Anyone with a few hours to spare would be a welcome addition. Call the center at (620) 983-2226 to speak with a site coordinator about becoming a volunteer.

The center requires that people planning to eat lunch at the center call in the day or evening before. If no one is available, there is an answering machine to leave a name and the date of the meal request.

Seniors 60 and older may eat a meal for $2.75. Anyone 59 or younger may also eat at the center, paying $4.50 for the meal. There is no charge for any of the entertainment or programs hosted by the center.

Co-site managers Ruth Lott and Arlene Unruh are available at the center to offer more information.
