Peabody Police remind citizens of safety rules
Police Chief Bruce Burke reminds residents that if an all-terrain vehicle is driven in town, the driver must use protective eyewear ,no matter the driver’s age, and an ATV operator younger than 18 must wear a helmet.
All ATV operators must have a valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance. An ATV driver may not transport passengers unless the ATV is specifically built to accommodate them.
With recent foggy weather, officers remind drivers to play it safe and turn on their headlights when driving in town or out on the highway.
