Peabody Community Foundation seeks nominations

The Peabody Community Foundation Board needs nominees for three open positions on the foundation board of directors.

Board members must be able to attend monthly meetings, be committed to the foundation’s development, and provide leadership to help solicit funds for the organization, chairman Lynn Berns said. Board terms are three years.

“We are looking for strong community supporters who have the ability to listen, analyze, think clearly and creatively, and work well with people individually and in groups,” Berns said. “A sense of humor is important too.”

Send nominations to N.M. Patton via e-mail at or call (620) 983-2798. Nominations can also be given to any current board members: Mary Avery, Sharlene Brooks, Brad Nightengale, Jim Preheim, Barry Peter, Lewis Unruh, Berns, and Patton.
