Peabody-Burns volleyball
goes 1-2 at Wakefield tourney

Despite going 1-2 Saturday, Peabody-Burns volleyball finished on a high note at the Wakefield tournament.

Peabody-Burns’ match against the home team started as a tightly contested match, but didn’t end that way. The Warriors took the first set 25-15, but Wakefield managed to snatch the second 25-22.

It was the third set where Peabody-Burns set itself apart as the dominant team, easily taking the set 25-11, and securing the match.

The two prior matches were not so favorable for the Warriors, as they lost both matches in two sets.

The team was thwarted in the first set against Blue Valley and Clifton-Clyde, each by a score of 25-17. The Warriors couldn’t pull closer in either match, though. Peabody-Burns dropped the second set to Blue Valley 25-11, and the second set to Clifton-Clyde 25-10.
