The Peabody-Burns High School Lady Warriors basketball season came to an end with a first round loss at sub-state. PBHS was defeated Feb. 27 at Olpe, 70-24. The team finished the season with a record of 5-16.

Olpe offense took a huge lead in the first quarter with a margin of 21-6. Sarah Hofkamp scored 4 for the Lady Warriors, and Tori Schroeder added 2.
Page Lewis got on the board with 3 points in the second, and Hofkamp scored 2. The Olpe offense continued to be strong and added 16 to their total. The Lady Warriors trailed, 37-11, at halftime.
Fifteen points from the Olpe squad in the third could not be matched by the Lady Warriors. PBHS had 2 points each from McKenzie Ensminger, Brandee Burnett, and Rayna Barnes. Olpe had the 52-17 advantage after three quarters of competition.
Burnett led the scoring with 3 points in the fourth quarter. Lewis and Hofkamp each had 2. Olpe scored 18. PBHS finished the season with the 70-24 loss to Olpe.
