Peabody-Burns football wins big at Herington
Even with storms threatening Friday night, one-half of a game was all Peabody-Burns needed to pull out a dominant 54-14 win at Herington.
After the first quarter, the Warriors were already trouncing Herington 40-0.
Peabody-Burns’ defense allowed 111 rushing yards, but stifled the Railroaders’ passing attack, allowing three completions for nine yards, on nine attempts.
The win was the team’s best so far, particularly on the offensive end. Despite not playing the second half, the Warriors’ 50 points were almost double the offensive output from their three other games combined.
The team will need every bit of that performance when facing Canton-Galva on Thursday. The 4-0 Eagles have outscored opponents 220-31 so far, and put up more than 45 points in every game.
