The Peabody Achievers 4-H Club decided to have a fundraiser at the June home swim meet during their June 8 meeting and discussed their various county fair projects at their July 6 meeting.
The June meeting was held at the home of Jeremy and Michele Gossen. It included a program, a hot dog roast, and outdoor activities. All families brought supper items to share.
Members answered roll call by telling what they were looking forward to in summer.
Alyssa Holt and Cade Gossen led the flag salute and Secretary Corin Parmley read the May meeting minutes.
The July meeting was held in the Peabody-Burns Elementary School music room. The Parmley and Young families provided food and drink.
During the meeting, Mackenzie and Alex Young led the flag salute, junior secretary Morgan Gaines read June meeting minutes, and members spoke about their county fair projects.
Melissa Parmley encouraged club members involved in Livestock/Project Sales to invite at least five community businesses to the fair.
Philip Young provided a fair card program and Aubrey Craig led recreation.
Members determined the June concession fundraiser was a success even though it was cut short by rain. They also decided to reimburse Michele Gossen and Melissa Parmley for concession expenses.
