Peabody Achievers plan activities

The Peabody Achievers 4-H Club met at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The meeting was called to order by vice president Cody Parmley. Colton Gossen and Tanner Parks led the flag salute. The minutes were read by secretary Corin Parmley and approved.

The Marion County Farm Bureau Association gave a $30 donation to the club for upcoming activities.

Devon Gaines reported dates and activities being planned by the 4-H Council. Nov. 2 is the county achievement night at the Marion Community Building.

A motion was made and seconded to purchase T-shirts for all the members of the 4-H Club. Melissa Parmley will bring T-shirt designs to the next meeting.

Recreation was a game of red rover, led by Weston Gaines. Happy Birthday was sung to everyone with an October birthday.

The program was filling out enrollment cards for the 2014-15 club year.

The next meeting will be at 9 a.m. Nov. 22 at the Peabody-Burns Middle School/High School. Club members will be doing a service project by assisting with Numana packaging.

The meeting was adjourned. Refreshments were provided by the Holt and Gossen families.
