The Peabody-Burns High School Spirit Squad participated in the Capital One College Bowl game Jan. 1 in Orlando.

The group left for Orlando Dec. 27 and arrived Dec. 28.

The squad attended practices and rehearsals leading to pregame performances. Eight members of the squad were chosen to perform with a 12-member stunt team on the 50-yard line. The remaining three squad members performed in a group dance.

The group returned to Peabody Jan. 3.

Spirit squad members are Shelby Elliott, Curtis Frederick, Sean Jones, Bethanny and Chris Loucks, Brian O’Neal, Kayla Partridge, Denise Percival, Kaitlyn Preheim, Amy Wedel, and Traylee Woodruff. Coaches are Annette Elliott and Lisa Hodges. Principal Tim Robertson also accompanied the group.
