The PBHS golf team came out on top of the team standings April 13 at the Desert Classic played at the Peabody Golf Course. PBHS scored 165 points to take first place. Yates Center was second with a score of 166 and Riley County was third with 195. Chase County was fourth with 216 and Riley County 2 was fifth with 242.
For individual scores, all of the PBHS golfers finished in the top 20. Jason Wingert led the way with a second-place medal and a score of 40. Trevor Foth medaled at third with a score of 40 and Matt Hiebert medaled at fourth with a score of 42. Jacob Gillet cracked the top ten, medaling with a score of 43 and an eighth-place finish.
Tommy Morris finished in 11th place with a score of 46 and Sean Brunner was 14th with a score of 48.
