PBHS cross-country competes at Chapman

The Warrior runners traveled to Chapman Thursday and returned with eight top-20 finishes for their efforts. The team will compete next at the Heart of America League meet hosted by Sedgwick.

Lauren Pickens won the junior/senior girl’s division with a time of 17 minutes, 31.37 seconds.

Beatrice Caldarella was 13th with a time of 20:12.80.

Kelsie Noble was 27th in the freshman/sophomore girl’s division with a time of 22:50.57. Amanda Pickens was 28th at 22:50.90.

Aaron Topham paced the junior/senior division with a fifth-place finish of 18:20.99. Josh Klarmann was ninth at 19:01.54, followed closely by Jacob Simmonds in 10th at 19:04.45. Sheldon Wiebe was 14th at 19:17.80 and Curtis Frederick was 20th with a time of 20:04.04. Steffen Pospiech was 22nd with a time of 20:13.22.

In the freshman/sophomore division, Matt Hiebert placed ninth with a time of 20:05.02. Seth Topham was 31st at 21:46.35 and Zach Preheim was 32nd, 22:07.30.
