PBHS bowling team splits season openers

The PBHS bowlers competed in two home meets last week.

On Jan. 11, Cheney defeated PBHS, 2382-1902. Cameron Qualls from Cheney scored a 708 for the three-game series. Kristen McGonigal had the high score for the PBHS team at 485.

PBHS returned to Peabody Lanes Jan. 12 and defeated Sunrise Christian Academy, 1885-1784. Warrior bowler Spencer Moffett had the highest score overall with a 524 in the three-game series. Wes Shaw, also from PBHS, had the next highest score overall with a 518. The team will compete again at home Tuesday against El Dorado.

PBHS individual scores against Cheney included McGonigal with 485, Kenny Battle 481, Moffett and Shaw 468, Zach Peterson 434, and Emily Harris 330.

Against Sunrise Christian Academy, Moffett had a 524, Shaw 518, Battle 430, McGonigal 413, Peterson 369, and Harris 335.
