Three students from the Peabody-Burns High School band will travel Friday to Manhattan, where they will audition for a position in one of six bands during a concert band clinic hosted by the Kansas State University music department.

Caleb Charles, Jenipher Huls, and Amy Wedel will audition for a position in one of six bands — one band is composed of top honor musicians and five bands of musicians of equal talent.

The students will rehearse Friday evening, most of Saturday, and again Sunday morning.

The bands will present 30-minute concerts beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday in McCain Auditorium on the KSU campus. There is no charge to attend the concerts and the public is invited.
