The Peabody-Burns High School track team hosted a meet April 27 with Wichita Independent, Herington, Little River, and Fairfield competing.
Curtis Frederick finished first (in the boys competition) in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 44.67 seconds, second in triple jump at 38.7 feet, and third in both the 110-meter hurdles at 17:32 and the 100-meter dash at 12:06.
Josh Klarmann garnered first in the 800 at 2:09.
Aaron Topham took first in the 1600, 4:54.2.

On the girl’s squad, Lauren Pickens finished first in both the 800 at 2:28.33 and the 100, with a time of 12.27.
Paige Lewis earned second in the 100 hurdles at 18.53; third, 300 hurdles, 60.75; sixth, 100, 13.95.
Bethanny Loucks was second in both the high jump at 4-6 and triple jump with a distance of 29-5.5.
