PBHS alumnus graduates from Army training
Army National Guard Pvt. Ryan L. Johnson recently graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
He is a 2010 graduate of Peabody-Burns High School. Mary and Leon Johnson of Peabody are his parents.
During nine weeks of training, he studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received training in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare, bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, the military justice system, first aid, foot marches, and field training.
