PBES students share their turkey recipes

Peabody-Burns Elementary School students were asked to provide instructions for cooking a turkey.

Kindergarten class, taught by Mary Thiessen

Buy a turkey. Put the turkey in the oven. Put on some pretend eyes, feathers, candy, a tail, and a hat.

¼ cup of vinegar, ¼ cup of butter, 10 pinches of pepper and one cup of gravy. Put the turkey in a big pan. Put the turkey in the oven for 59 minutes. After 59 minutes take the turkey out and put the vinegar on it. Then put butter all over it. After that you put 10 pinches of pepper on the turkey. Put on the gravy. Then you can start to eat.

Ingredients: 1 cup of vegetables, 1 turkey, 1 bowl. Directions: Put it in a bowl and pour the vegetables in. Cook in the oven for about 10-13 minutes. Put the temperature at 320 degrees.

I get a turkey. Carve it. Cook it. Eat it. Cook it for 90 minutes. Use about 1000 per ounce butter, 90 eggs. Cut it up, then eat it. Bye-bye turkey. Add some fish. Make sure it ain’t a robot turkey.

Ingredients: 1 turkey (fresh), salt and pepper (teensy-bit), 1 tub of butter, three pieces of corn on the cob, one bottle barbecue sauce, one jar each black and green olives and pickles. Directions: Put turkey on grill. Boil corn on stove for five minutes. Take turkey off grill after six minutes. Serve turkey and corn with butter, BBQ sauce, olives and pickles. Enjoy!

Brownies — I cup of milk, 3 eggs, 2 ½ cups of water, 1 cup of sugar. Pour 1 cup of milk in a pan. Crack three eggs and put it in the pan. Put 2 ½ cups of water in. Pour it in the pan. Put 1 cup of sugar in the pan. When you get the brownies put them in the oven. Eat it all.

Mone’ Fritz

One turkey, ½ teaspoon of salt, 1 cup full of cinnamon and sugar, 9 tablespoons of turkey broth. Set the oven for 80 degrees. Put the turkey in a foil pan. Put the cinnamon and sugar on the turkey. Squeeze the turkey broth on the turkey. Put the turkey in the oven. Set the timer for 10 minutes. When they are done, we’ll just say, “Happy Holidays!”

First go to the store to buy one. Then go home. Put the oven on 350 degrees. Then spray spam on the turkey. Then set the table while it is cooking. Go to the store again to buy drink (Sprite). Oh, I forgot to pull out the guts, the heart, the brain, and the feathers. Go to the store to buy plates, cups, silverwear. Eat. Don’t let anybody in! Why? Because I cooked it!

Turkey, one can carrots, potatoes, one can green beans, 10 cups gravy, one can corn. Put turkey in big pot. Cut veggies. Put veggies in pot with the turkey. Set oven to 500 degrees to cook for ½ hour. Take out of the oven. Put spices on it. Eat turkey.

Put oven to 32 degrees. One stick of butter, half cup of sugar, 12 eggs. Put butter in oven to melt. Crack eggs in the melted butter. Get spoon and stir it around. Get sugar and pour it in the eggs and the butter. Stir it around and pour water in it. Then put it in the microwave for 50 seconds and take it out. Go to the store. Get a scoop of flour. Put it in the pan and put it in the oven. It is cooked!

Get one big cooking pan. Get one stick of butter. Pull out turkey feathers. Clean turkey first. Turn on oven for 350 degrees. Cook for about an hour and a half. A perfect dinner.

Hunt a turkey and skin it. Put it in the oven for an hour. Do not put in any sugar. Then take it out. Cut it up and eat it. That’s how you make a turkey.

Five cups of sugar and put butter on it. Then when you get all the stuff finished put the turkey in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes. Sugar, sugar!

Put one cup of hummus, add four eggs, and three sticks of butter. Get some turkey. Cook it up to 450 degrees for about 9-10 minutes. Crack the four eggs. Put them in a bowl. Add the hummus and the three sticks of butter and mix it into the bowl and split it.

You’re to go to the store and buy a turkey. Make sure you have a big pan at home. You need to put broth in the pan with the turkey. It needs to be heated to 350 degrees. Then cook it two hours, but check on it.
