Peabody Burns Elementary School will host the annual Grandparents’ Day Dinner Sept. 17.
The dinner gives grandparents, as well as other patrons, an opportunity to visit the school and spend time with grandchildren. Grandparents will participate in an activity with their grandchildren and be recognized at a dinner.
Fifth- and sixth-grade students will eat lunch 11 to 11:30 a.m. with an activity 11:30 to 11:55 a.m.
Students in the third and fourth grades will eat at 11:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. and have their activity 12:10 to 12:35 p.m.
Kindergartners and first and second-graders will eat at 12:20 to 12:50 p.m. An activity will precede 11:55 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.
Grandparents of preschoolers are invited to the morning session, 10:30 to 11 a.m., or the afternoon session, 2:45 to 3:15 p.m.
For those who do not have grandchildren at PBES and would like to participate, call the school at (620) 983-2188 because there are children who will not have grandparents participating.
Reservations must be made by Sept. 10 by calling the school. The cost is $3.05 per person.
