Patricia Henderson
Patricia Eloise Henderson, 75, of Peabody, died April 3, 2009, at St. Luke Hospital, Marion.
She was born Oct. 21, 1933, the daughter of Wallace and Phoebe Evelyn (Reeder) Satterlee, in Canton where she was raised with little brother Kenneth Byron.
She attended school in Canton. She then moved to Wichita where she worked at Boeing and gave birth to daughter Vickie and son Craig. She moved to California and bought a house in Costa Mesa where Todd and Eric were born.
She returned to Kansas in the early 1970s, where they made their home in Peabody. She was employed by Hesston Corporation where she was a factory fabricator until her retirement.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and Peabody Christian Church.
In 2008, she sold her home to granddaughter Venessa and moved to Indian Guide Terrace where Venessa and Raymond looked after her and tended to her needs.
Her parents and a son, Craig White, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Todd and wife Myrna Henderson of Peabody, and Eric Henderson of Norton; a daughter, Vickie Jenkinson of Gillette, Wyo.; a brother, Kenneth and wife Bev Satterlee of San Marcus, Calif.; six grandchildren, Andrew and wife Janet Jenkinson of Gillette, Venessa and husband Raymond Smoko of Peabody, Jess and Manual Espino of Fort Worth, Texas, Marilyn and Gerry of Jacksonville, N.C., and Megan Greer and Damon Henderson, both of Derby; eight great-grandchildren, Heath and Jamie Henkinson of Gillette, Rayden and Desmond Smoko of Peabody, Kathleen and Wesley of Jacksonville, and two great-grandchildren of Megan Greer; and nieces and nephews, Jodi of Winnemucca, Nev., Jeff of Valley Center, Calif., Jarin of Escondido, Calif., and Jason of San Marcos.
Services were 4 p.m. Saturday at Peabody Christian Church with Pastor James Pohlman officiating.
Memorial funds have been established with the church and the Craig White Memorial.
