Ophelia Jacobson

Services for rural Tampa native Ophelia K. Jacobson, 90, of Hope, who died Thursday at Brookdale Senior Living in Wichita, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Durham Baptist Church.

Pastor Jose Cruz will officiate. The family will receive friends from noon until the service at the church. Burial will be at Ashton Cemetery, rural Hope.

Born Nov. 27, 1931, near Tampa to William and Lydia (Galliart) Rhode, she married Don Jacobson on Aug. 6, 1950, in Tampa. He died in 2013.

Son Greg Jacobson and sister Phyllis Mueller also preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughter Wanda Lewis of Andover, sister Edna Backhus of Tampa, and three grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the church.
