SHERIFF
Criminal damage
A vehicle was used to try to force open a field entrance gate between 1 and 1:05 a.m. March 9 on 180th Rd. between Upland Rd. and US-77.
Property owner Leroy J. Kraus estimated damage to the gate at $300, according to an offense report released Friday.
MARION
Possession of stolen property
Holly R. Hamm, 41, alternately listed with McPherson and Hillsboro addresses, was arrested around 3 p.m. Friday after allegedly being seen on video arriving in a stolen vehicle to begin serving a 48-hour jail term for probation violation.
Owner Cory R. Howard, 35, Moundridge, had reported his 2010 Ford Escape stolen and told Marion County authorities he thought Hamm might have taken it to drive to Marion to serve her jail time.
Hamm had been scheduled to be released Monday after 48 hours of incarceration but remained in jail Tuesday in lieu of posting a $5,000 bond on an additional charge of possession of stolen property.
