SHERIFF

Felony criminal damage

Damage estimated at $1,075 was done to a glass door, a toilet paper holder, and a fire extinguisher between 5:08 and 5:15 a.m. Jan. 28, allegedly by an intruder found hiding in a restroom at Flying Eagle truck stop in Florence after sheriff’s deputies investigated a burglar alarm.

Paige L. Williams, 36, Towanda, was arrested on suspicion of felony criminal damage and held in lieu of $5,000 bond.

Theft

A Nintendo Switch gaming system, a laptop computer, a Chromebook, hand tools, and 12 compact discs, together valued at $1,050, were stolen between 11 p.m. Jan. 30 and 9 a.m. Feb. 2 by a thief who broke into a vehicle parked near 40th and Old Mill Rds., owner Logan E. Webster of Florence told a sheriff’s deputy.

Theft

A trailer valued at only $1 was reported stolen between noon Feb. 4 and 9:30 a.m. Feb. 5 from Shane A. Daniels’s residence in the 300 block of W. Main St. in Lehigh. A Canton woman reported the theft.

HILLSBORO

Theft

A 1999 Honda CR-V, stolen between 2 and 10 p.m. Feb. 6 from a parking lot in the 100 block of N. Washington St., was recovered by Winfield police in a motel parking lot there.

Not recovered along with the car, owned by Walter W. Cook, 43, Hillsboro, were a Gateway computer, a Sony PS3 gaming system, and miscellaneous games, together valued at $200.
