SHERIFF

Burglary

A vise grip, antique wrench set, large upright record player, radio, dial thermometer, air compressor with turbo tanks, and six old batteries, together valued at $872, were reported stolen between noon and 3 p.m. Aug. 19 from Elmer R. Delk’s residence on Mustang Rd. between 130th and 140th Rds.

Hillsboro

Burglary

Dylan L. Horton, 20, Hillsboro, reported on Aug. 31 that a Taurus .45-caliber handgun worth $700 and an X-Box One worth $200 were stolen at 9:45 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 300 block of N. Washington St. The victims were listed as Trevor N. Jasper, 18, of the same address, and Scott A. Fisher, 60, Lehigh.

Burglary

Jamie L. Bartel, 43, Hillsboro, reported an Alienware laptop worth $5,000, two gas-powered RC toys worth $900, an X-Box and controller worth $455, a Wrangler handbag, and $60 were stolen between 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 31 in the 100 block of N. Cedar St. Burglars broke in through a locked door, causing $230 worth of damage to the door and screen window.

Identity theft

Kimberly K. Zeller, 54, Hillsboro, reported a social security card and an unspecified form of identification were stolen between noon Aug. 31 and noon Friday from a residence in the 100 block of N. Jefferson St.

Possession of methamphetamine

A Hillsboro woman was arrested after methamphetamine was found in her vehicle during a traffic stop at 3 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of S. Elm St. Police stopped her because they thought she had a suspended license. Molly B. Schoefield, 35, Hillsboro, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended license. Found in the vehicle were amphetamines, 0.2 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, and an oil burner.

Marion

Possession of stolen property

A Marion motorist was arrested after a stolen vehicle tag was found Sept. 1 on his vehicle during a traffic stop on S. Commercial Dr. The vehicle was stopped for having a cracked windshield and no headlights.

Cyle L. Wilson, 27, was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, driving with license restrictions, and not having liability insurance.

Possession of methamphetamine

Cyle Wilson was arrested between 2:32 and 2:45 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of S. Cedar St. after being identified as having an outstanding arrest warrant. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, and on five outstanding warrants.
