These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

Hillsboro

Possession of methamphetamine

A Hillsboro man in his 30s was investigated for possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at 3:37 a.m. March 30 in the 400 block of S. Ash St. He also was operating a vehicle without valid registration. No arrest was made, but charges are pending.

Theft

A Hillsboro man in his 20s was investigated for possibly stealing three aerosol cans from Hillsboro Hardware, 125 N. Main, at 4:30 p.m. March 31. Police found evidence of huffing at the scene. No arrest was made, but charges are pending.

Marion

Driving under the influence

Merle Leppke, 77, Marion, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and transporting an open container of alcohol at 7:36 p.m. April 1 on Sunflower Rd. south of Marion.
