These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
Marion
Protection order violation
A person was reported in violation of a protection order between 12:01 and 12:30 a.m. Nov. 1 at the property of Nicheal M. Dunham in the 200 block of Grant St. When the perpetrator went to leave, he hit the left-rear corner of Dunham’s 2008 Ford Focus with his own vehicle. The incident caused damage to Dunham’s vehicle worth $1,500.
Battery
Zachary Nickel, 18, Marion, was arrested at 3 p.m. Nov. 5 on suspicion of hitting his teacher, Sandra Ruder, Hillsboro, at Marion High School between 2:20 and 2:25 p.m. Nov. 5. Police reviewed video and spoke with school staff before making the arrest.
Theft
Brandyn K. Schadel, 25, Marion, and Morgan K. Ottensmeier, 25, Marion, reported a cell phone charger worth $10 stolen between 9:45 and 10:05 a.m. from Dollar General. The perpetrator was interviewed by police and admitted to taking the charger.
