Offense reports released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Theft

Four keys valued at $250 total were reported stolen with no signs of forced entry between 3 and 11 p.m. Dec. 18 from the residence of Betty Smith, 60, in the 700 block of Main St. in Florence.

Criminal damage

Janice Moffett, 51, reported that a mailbox at her home on 50th Rd. between Quail Creek and Remington Rds. sustained an estimated $25 damage between 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19.

Theft

Randy Savage, 54, rural Florence, reported the theft of four round bales of straw, valued at $150, between 3:44 and 5:16 p.m. Thursday from along the roadway at 260th and Quail Creek Rds.

Criminal damage

Travis Schafers, 42, Marion, reported a front passenger window, valued at $200, was broken out of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of S. Cedar St. between midnight Nov. 13 and 11 a.m. Nov. 15.

Burglary and criminal damage

A 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe belonging to James Williams, 53, Marion, and parked at his residence in the 700 block of N. Cedar St. sustained an estimated $1,500 damage when someone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol entered and attempted to start the vehicle by hammering out the ignition switch between 5 and 8:15 p.m. Nov. 16.

Theft

Jean Pierce, 92, Marion, reported theft of $4,500 by a man posing as a handyman at her home in the 300 block of N. Locust St. between 9 a.m. Dec. 13 and 11:35 a.m. Dec. 14.

Burglary

Esther Schafers, 86, Marion, reported theft of $75 from a purse left in an unlocked car at her residence in the 100 block of S. Freeborn St. between 5 p.m. Dec. 14 and 8 a.m. Dec. 15.
