According to offense reports released Thursday:

Battery and drug possession

Two women sustained minor injuries and a dose of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were discovered at 1:27 p.m. Dec. 11 at a residence on 210th Rd. between Diamond and Eagle Rds.

Residents Nancy Gibson, 56, and Juanita Gibson, 31, who was identified as the suspect’s girlfriend, were listed as victims.

The portions of Deputy Derek Calvert’s report released did not provide a description of the incident nor did it list the name of anyone arrested. However, jail records indicate that John Moss, 26, Hillsboro, was arrested by deputies on the same day on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, battery, and domestic battery.

Cruelty to animals

Deputies investigated a complaint of failure to provide food, water, or shelter to one or more animals Dec. 17 at a residence in the 200 block of Grandview St. in Florence. No disposition of the investigation was reported.
