According to offense reports released this past week:
Criminal threat, theft of a firearm
Clayton T. Lingenfelter, 18, Hillsboro was arrested on suspicion of theft of a firearm and criminal threat at 7:25 p.m. Nov. 23 in the 300 block of N. Birch St. after allegedly taking without permission a Savage .22 rifle, valued at $300, owned by Cassidy Johnson from 323 N. Cedar St.
Police said Lingenfelter allegedly threatened to shoot three people and any law enforcement officials who tried to stop him.
Possession of methamphetamines, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia
Kellie Anderson, 26, and Nickolas Spain, 27, both of Liberal, were arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamines, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia at 2:22 a.m. Sunday on US-56 near milepost 304 after officer Lee Vogel stopped a vehicle that was allegedly traveling at a slower speed that the rest of traffic to check the welfare of the vehicles occupants.
Upon further investigation, canine officer Legion was called in to search the vehicle and allegedly discovered an unidentified quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Police did not indicate which person was in possession of what substance or paraphernalia.
Burglary, criminal damage to property
Royce D. Webster, 56, Marion, reported the theft of his vehicle registration and a vehicle battery between Nov. 19 and Nov. 23 at his residence in the 200 block of N. 4th St.
Kaycy Chendace Gonzalez, 20, Marion, reported theft of a purse containing a Social Security card, driver’s license, insurance card, personal checks, and cash, valued at $377, between Nov. 23 and Friday from a motor vehicle parked in the 400 block of N. 2nd St.
Criminal damage to property
Marion County sheriff’s deputy Travis Wilson reported that between 12:05 a.m. and 9 a.m. Oct. 15, two stop signs, four 4x4 posts, and eight pieces of unspecified hardware on Jade Rd. between 140th and 130th Rds. valued at a total of $400 and owned by Marion County Road and Bridge were damaged, destroyed, or vandalized.
Jessyka Raple, 17, Wichita, was victim to criminal restraint between 4:25 and 5 p.m. Nov. 8 in a home on Unicorn Rd. in Lincolnville.
Possession of opiate, opium, narcotic, or certain stimulant; unlawfully obtaining prescription drugs/possession of prescription only drug; endangerment of a child
An offender suspected of using drugs had four hydrocodone pills, methamphetamines, and drug paraphernalia was seized between 4:48 and 7:31 p.m. Nov. 13 in the 300 block of Washington St., Hillsboro. Also cited for the individual was unlawfully obtaining prescription drugs/possession of prescription only drug and endangerment of a child.
Possession of stimulant
Solid methamphetamine and brass knuckles were seized from a home in the 300 block of Washington St. in Hillsboro at 5:35 p.m. Nov. 13. The offender was suspected of using drugs or narcotics.
