According to offense reports released Friday:

SHERIFF

Theft of property

Clyde Jost, 57, Hillsboro, reported the theft of 950 bushels of corn Nov. 17 from a field on 170th Rd. between Jade and Kanza Rds. Undersheriff David Huntley placed the value of the loss as $3,800.

Burglary, vehicle to commit felony

Goessel residents filed 14 reports Nov. 14 of burglary or attempted burglary from vehicles in Goessel that occurred around 2 p.m. Oct. 27. Among the items listed as stolen by officer Wilma Mueller were sunglasses, global positioning units, and kaleidoscopes. The total loss from the thefts was estimated at $760.

Theft

A Winchester pump shotgun and black plastic gun case, with a combined value of $325, was reported stolen from Hillsboro resident Michael Baca’s vehicle between 8 p.m. Nov. 13 and 2 p.m. Nov. 14, while parked in the 500 block of Adams St.

Baca reported his vehicle was locked, but police said there was no sign of forced entry.
