Misdemeanor theft

Theft of a $100 Verizon cell phone from a locker room at Hillsboro Middle School between 3:30 and 5 p.m. Sept. 18 was reported.

Misdemeanor theft of mislaid property

Theft of $160 cash from a wallet misplaced in a Hillsboro restaurant between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Friday was reported. Police later recovered the wallet. However, the cash was missing.

Attempted Burglary

Burglary was reported between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Sept. 15 in the 200 block of N. Lincoln St. Hillsboro.

Burglary and criminal damage to property between 9 p.m. Sept. 18 and 7 a.m. Sept. 19 was reported Sept. 19 on Pawnee Rd. between 70th and 80th Rds. A door and latch worth $100 were broken, and miscellaneous John Deere bolts and O-rings were reported taken.
