April 26: A motorist was issued a citation for driving on a suspend license, there was a trespass complaint in the 300 block of N. Main St., and a dog complaint on S. Ash St.

April 27: Police took a noise complaint and a traffic complaint in the 100 block of S. Birch St., a reckless driver complaint in the 100 block of N. Madison St., and investigated a commercial alarm in the 100 block of S. Main St.

April 28: Officers investigated a report of a small yellow wagon that was allegedly stolen. The wagon was later recovered.

April 29: Stolen property was located and returned to its owner. A cell phone was reported to be lost.

Thursday: Officers investigated a death in the 600 block of W. Third St., took a vandalism complaint in the 100 block of S. Main St., and investigated trespass complaint at the golf course. Police also removed debris from the intersection of A and Ash Sts.

Friday: Police investigated a report of juveniles trespassing in a vacant building in the 100 block of S. Main St.

Saturday: Officers investigated a report of an unresponsive driver in Hillsboro Heights only to find the motorist was a delivery driver on a break. Police provided a funeral escort, took a dog complaint, and investigated a report of a reckless driver at D and Birch Sts. There was also a trespass complaint in the 300 block of N. Main St.

Possession of drugs and paraphernalia

A driver and passenger were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on at 11:45 April 16 after the driver was pulled over for traveling 78 mph in 65 mph zone on US-56 west of Cedar St.

Officer Mike Stone said a trace amount of marijuana and a plastic bag with marijuana residue, valued at $2, were recovered during the traffic stop.

Battery

A 27-year-old woman reported that a former roommate had pulled her hair during an argument at 2:20 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Santa Fe St.

Theft

A homemade trailer, valued at $300, was reported stolen from 530 N. Walnut St., which police reports said was a vacant residence, sometime between April 27 and Saturday.

PEABODY

April 29: Police arrested Troy Rose of 306 N. Pine St. on a Harvey County warrant. He was charged with failure to appear..

Thursday: Police took a report of a dog bite incident. The case was investigated and completed. No charges were filed. Melissa Fisher was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, transporting an open container of alcohol, and refusing a portable breath test.

Friday: The police department identified 33 properties in violation of city mowing ordinances and letters were sent by the city notifying residents at those addresses.
