No-till group plans soil profit meeting in Hillsboro

No-till on the Plains, Inc. is planning a “Make the Connection” meeting to help local producers increase profits by improving their soil health.

The free meeting will take place 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., Dec. 14, at the Marion County Fairgrounds 4-H Building, Hillsboro.

Key speakers include Ryan Speer of Jacob Farms in Sedgwick, and Jim Schneider of Aurora, Neb.

Kansas-based No-till on the Plains, is a regional organization directly impacting over 5,000 producers across the world which promotes practical and scientific application of continuous no-till farming (CNT).

No-till on the Plains promotes solely agriculture. CNT is a system that includes the used of diverse rotations and cover crops, where soil disturbance is kept to an absolute minimum.

Attendees for all meetings are asked to pre-register by Friday either online at www.notill.org or by calling the No-till on the Plains office at (888) 330-5142.
