No tassles, but plenty of seeds for future

Mortar board caps and gowns may not have been the apparel of choice for one set of recent graduates.

Instead, hats denoting characters from “The Little Red Hen” were worn when students graduated last week from Sunshine Country Preschool, 520 S. 3rd St., Marion.

Students performed a few of their favorite songs and acted out “The Little Red Hen” before having cookies at a reception for families, teacher Michele Regnier, and her family.

Graduates included Evalie Avant, Rosalyn Collett, Ava Hett, Saylor Hett, Jett Jeffrey, Keenan Meierhoff, Kason Richmond, Vivian Schroeder, Amelia Soyez, and Ellie Whiteman.

At a separate celebration the next day, younger preschoolers performed their favorite musical selections and received certificates before having a picnic and playtime in Marion’s Central Park.

Included in Thursday’s group were Skylar Barney, Daxton Brewer, Callie Diepenbrock, Taygyn Gutsch, Henlee Klenda, Tessa Looper, Delany Kraus, Olivia McIrvin, Levi Smith, and Titus Whiteman.
