Hoch Publishing has two new employees. Ann Holt of Marion is office manager, and Kelsey Unruh of Hillsboro is a new reporter.
Holt, who has lived in Marion since she married her husband, Terry, 36 years ago, joined the staff two months ago.
A business graduate of Kansas State University, she spent four years working as secretary and clerk for the board of the newly organized Marion County Special Education Co-op before she became a stay-at-home mom. She has four children: Andy, 30; Laura, 26: Louis, 23; and William, 17.
Holt was a 4-H leader and a member of Mothers of Pre-Schoolers for many years. She has worked as a para-professional for MCSEC the past 4½ years.
Unruh joined the reporting staff on Monday. A native of Hillsboro, she has a degree in journalism from Tabor College, where she worked on the newspaper and yearbook.
After graduating in 2013, she worked as an administrative assistant at Wichita State University.
She lives in Hillsboro. Two cats, Arya and Keegan, keep her company. Lyle and Lola Unruh are her parents.
