Naomi Bess Davis was born Dec. 10, 1926, in Marion, the only child born to the late Arthur D. and Marie E. (Kuhn) Williams.

She passed away June 11, 2011, at Peabody Care Center (formerly Legacy Park) in Peabody at age 84.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell G. Davis, in August 2006 and son-in-law, Glenn L. Bright, in February 2010.

Surviving are two daughters, Vickie Cook and husband Jay Cook of Peabody, and Lynda Bright of Newton; three granddaughters, Deeana Wingert of Peabody and Brenda Cordero and Brandi Stewart of Newton; one grandson, Kelly Cook of Peabody; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, at Baker Funeral Home. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Peabody Christian Church in Peabody.

A memorial has been established with Peabody Care Center.
