Former Union Tank and Valmont worker Michael E. Wimberly, 60, of Burns died in his home Dec. 17.

He was born Nov. 4, 1954, the son of Ralph “Mike” and Joyce “Ann” Wimberly of El Dorado where he grew and graduated from El Dorado High School.

He married Linda Armstead Oct. 29, 1972, after which the couple made their home in El Dorado, but eventually moved to Burns in 1980.

Michael enjoyed the outdoors and especially liked to garden and fish.

He is survived by his wife, his mother, Linda, daughters Rochelle Wilson and Amy Reagan both of El Dorado; brother Jeff of McFarland; and five grandchildren.

Wimberly requested to be cremated and for no service to be held upon his passing.
