Unless some unforeseen obstacle crops up, final plans for the Marion Community Hospital will be ready for bids by November 13 or 20.

Marion High School Warriors traveled to Herington last Friday and trounced the Railroaders in a smashing 33 to 0 victory to remain undefeated and unscored on in a series of four games played so far this season.

Clive Jarvis, Jess Coons, Scotty Gound, Bill Ward, and Dr. O.C. McCandless left last Thursday for Walden, Colorado, where they will hunt deer. They are expected home this weekend.

Thirty-four students from Marion County are among the 7,551 enrolled at Kansas University this fall.

Those from Marion include Edwin V. Burkholder Jr., Edward W. Colburn, James R. Garrison, Harry C. Gilson, Joe Bill Gound, Patricia Harris, Robert Hein, Donna Hobein, Max Merrill, Leo Meysing, and Leslie Powell Jr.

Lincolnville and Durham are standing in the top two spots of the North Marion County softball tournament now going on at Lincolnville.

Ginger Price was honored on her 14th birthday Oct. 16 at a chow mein dinner at her home by her mother, Agnes Price. Guests, other than the honoree, were Karen Brodhead, Janet Holub, Pat Kruse, Marilyn Reh, Darlene Melcher, Glenda Razor, Marlys Rupp, and Charlene Yauk.
