Engraved plaques in appreciation for 25 years of faithful service to St. Luke Hospital and the community were presented to dentist E.K. Schroeder and physician T.C. Ensey at the hospital’s silver anniversary celebration Sunday afternoon.

Rick Lange, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lange, was 7 years old Nov. 20. His mother and sister, Sherry, were hosts for a party in his honor Nov. 19. Invited guests were Eric Kline; Mike, Tami, and Keith Ottensmeier; Eric and Charlotte Thies; Greg Warnica; and Shawn Winter.

Marion Decorator Shoppe, formerly known as Kasper Draperies, will have an open house Sunday afternoon at its factory and retail outlet location at Main at Cedar Sts. The business is owned by Wayne Thies with Martha Boyle and Jane Pippin as co-managers.

Marion Chamber of Commerce fed 540 farmers and friends Monday night at its annual farm-city steak fry.

Erna Mae Gibson is pictured receiving a 10-gallon donor pin from local bloodmobile chairman Sandra Hett. Gibson gave her 80th pint of blood at Thursday’s bloodmobile visit.

Senior Randy Just has been selected for the Cottonwood Valley League all-league first team in football. Selected to the second team were senior Bret O’Dell and juniors Casey Case, Doug Heerey, Randy Lespagnard, and Jeff Richmond.
