Chefs Ken Springer, Roger Hannaford III, and Ted Haefner are pictured as they set up another layer of steaks for a grill alongside the city building.

The meal, sponsored and prepared by members of the Marion Chamber of Commerce for the Farm-City Steak Fry included a hefty steak, buttered bread, potato chips, drink, and celery.

In all, the workers turned out 540 steaks in less than 90 minutes.
