W.J. Siebert is getting ready to move his house from the valley to the corner lots across the street south of Rosse Case’s residence. Excavation for the basement is in progress.
Sheriff Armstrong received a message Tuesday to intercept a trunk full of booze that had been checked through from Kansas City to Aulne. He got the booze, but the owner evidently had become wise to the danger and did not show up with his check to claim the property.

T.B. Matlock has resigned as city commissioner and D.L. Yeagley has been named by the other two members of the board, Mayor Josiah Good and C.E. Pierce, to take his place.
Again, may we inquire as to when Marion is to have that traffic ordinance? Is Marion a candidate for being the last town in Kansas to have a traffic ordinance?
The Gentle Enquirer rises to ask how it was that the Record didn’t say a word last week about the burglary of the Santa Fe station here but permitted itself to be scooped by the esteemed Topeka Capital. Now this would indeed be a matter of Deep Chagrin for the Record to be scooped like this, were it not for this little incidental fact — none of the things told about in the Capital’s story happened
