Muskogee Red left Wednesday to spend the winter in California. Muskogee has been with the Record office for more than a year and has come to almost call Marion home, but the wanderlust finally ran too strong in his veins and the liquids of modern concoction got the better of good intentions and he has flown to milder climes.

The body of James William “Jay” Miesse has been brought home. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church this afternoon, conducted by comrades in the World War and the body, with a military escort, will be laid in its last resting place in Highland Cemetery.

Willard King went to Oklahoma City Sunday where he opened and will have charge of a branch office of the Brooker Bros. Sales Co. The Brooker brothers have built up a; big sales business and much of their work has been in Oklahoma. They are opening the office there to be in a position to give better service to customers in that state.

The Bear Hunters—Earl Rogers, C.R. Sullivan, E.R. Sandberg, A.J. Sparks, and Bud Williamson—left Tuesday for a two week’s trip in the mountains on a big game hunt.

Miss Mabel Winne has gone to Inman where she teaches music and art in the schools.

The Hett family had arranged a reunion to be held in the grove at the Jake Hett farm but last Sunday was not a fine day for picnics and only about ninety of them were present and the reunion, the dinner and supper were held in their home. They had a fine day of fellowship and fun together.
