The new Christian church will be dedicated this Sunday, Feb. 13th. The new building is the most beautiful and capacious church structure in the county and is well supplied in all the modern needs of the church.

Marion High defeated Elmdale High in a double header on the home court last Friday. The girls won 51 to 5, completely outclassing Elmdale in every phase of the game; while the boys won 33 to 13 in a rough and poorly contested game.

The remodeling of the Grand store room approaches completion. It is going to be a handsome store, and the new proprietors, Robert Florer and Leland Thompson, who have “grown up” with the business, deserve all kinds of credit for their enterprise and all kinds of success.

Mrs. Homer Hoch was recently elected third vice president of the Congressional Club in Washington, a club made up of the wives of the United States senators and representatives.

The Hanstine hardware store in its remodeled form is certainly very attractive. Mr. Hanstine is a fine addition to Marion’s citizenship.

Children’s movies are gaining in favor. And it’s a good move for the movies. The motoy, which is the motion toy or toys actually doing the acting, sets the small children wild with delight. It combines motoy films, fairy tales, history, and other educational films and the children enjoy it much, as well as learn much.
