Medicine River Boys to appear

Peabody Main Street Association has teamed up with POPPs (Partners of Peabody Parks) to bring the arts to downtown Peabody.

Sleepy Creek Concert Series is set to begin Sept. 28 at Santa Fe Park in downtown Peabody. The series of monthly concerts will showcase the efforts of Peabody Main Street Association and the POPPs group while exposing the public to a different style of music every month.

Medicine River Boys will kick off the concert series with their Bob Wills-influenced western swing melodies. Based in Wichita, The Medicine River Boys features Tim and Brad Bennett on guitar and mandolin. They are joined by an additional guitar, stand-up bass, and fiddle. With a focus on vocal harmony, they are sure to please the crowd.

The goal of the series is to raise money for a public restroom in Santa Fe Park. So grab your lawn chair, work up an appetite, and join Peabody Main Street and POPPs at 6 p.m. Sept. 28 in Santa Fe Park.
