McVey-Toman exchange vows

Jennifer Christine McVey of Junction City and Dustin Joseph Toman of Olathe were united in marriage June 14 at Peabody United Methodist Church.

Pastor David Ragland officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Sandra McVey of Peabody. The groom is the son of Ronald and Donna Toman of Olathe.

Grandparents of the couple are Donald and Gloria Webber of Newton, the late Bruce and Jodie McVey, Mary Ann Grollmes of Netawaka and the late Andrew Grollmes, and the late Gilbert and Marjorie Toman, formerly of Holyrood.

Allison Schoen, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Best man was Reginald Jackson, friend of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Shawna Will and Heather Kellogg, friends of the bride. Groomsmen were Jeong Moon and Steven Wahl, friends of the groom.

Flower girl was Isabella Toman, niece of the groom. Candles were lighted by Samantha and Ashley Hastings, cousins of the bride. Ushers were Scott Toman, Luke Brossman, Robert McVey, and David Hernandez. Mallory McVey, sister-in-law of the bride, served as personal attendant. Hannah Berns of Peabody, and Andrea Rice of Gardner were guest book attendants.

A dinner and dance followed the ceremony.

The couple honeymooned in Palm Beach, Fla.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Peabody-Burns High School and a 2004 graduate of Kansas State University. The groom is a 1995 graduate of St. Xavier High School, Junction City, and a 2004 graduate of KSU.

The couple is making their home in Gardner where the bride is a fifth-grade teacher at Wheatridge Middle School and the groom is a Network Operations Technician II at Embarq.
