May is Beef Month in Kansas

Kansas is home to more than 5.5 million cattle on farms, ranches, and in feedyards, making it one of the largest producers of beef, with an estimated revenue of more than $7 billion statewide. In recognition of that, Gov. Sam Brownback has designated May as Beef Month.
