Matthew Thompson
Matthew Aaron Thompson, 34, died July 20 in Tulsa.
Born July 8, 1975, in Wichita, he graduated from Maize High School in 1994 and Sterling College in 1998. He lived and worked in Honduras and returned home to attend Phillips Theological Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity degree in 2007.
He married Lora Jackson, formerly of Marion, on June 7, 2008. The couple owned Lackesport Mazzio’s, a boating business at Grand Lake, Okla.
Survivors include his wife; parents, Mary Goodwin and Ron Thompson; a grandmother, Jean Thompson; a brother, Lowell Thompson; a stepbrother, Scott Goodwin; and a stepsister, Dana Baniewicz.
A memorial service was Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Wichita. A second service will be Friday at South Grand Lake Christian Church, Langley, Okla.
